Black Suffrage: The 15th Amendment

Black Suffrage Is Noticed

After the Civil War, the rights of African Americans had not changed. The people that were from Africa currently living in New England did not get the treatment that they thought they would. African Americans were given some rights, more then they'd had as slaves, but yet they would not be granted the same rights as a white person. When the government took notice of this issue, concerning the fact that states were also split between those who agreed with slavery and those who were against it, they insisted all states grant Black Suffrage.
